Is a retainer required to hire a Blackhorse Investigator?

Not always. Some services that Blackhorse Investigations provides do not require a retainer. Requests for services such as a locate do not require a retainer. Investigations that are ongoing and lengthy will require a retainer.

 

How does Blackhorse Investigations accept payments?

Payments are usually processed by invoice and paid with a credit card or debit card. We also accept electronic app payments such as Venmo, Zelle, CashApp. In certain situations if the client requests, we will meet with the client and accept cash. A receipt for payment will be given via email.

Can I attempt to locate someone that has a restraining order against me?

No, you cannot attempt to contact anyone that is listed on an active restraining order against you. Blackhorse Investigations conducts routine checks through the court to ensure we are not releasing locate information to someone that has an active restraining order.

How do I know if there is a GPS tracker on my car?

If you suspect that someone may have placed a GPS tracker on your vehicle, there are some steps you can take. Most GPS trackers will be placed under your vehicle on the frame. This is because it is less likely to be found if placed in a location that is not seen regularly. In rare instances, a tracker can also be placed inside your vehicle, hardwired.  Blackhorse Investigations does provide services to check for GPS trackers. If you suspect someone has placed a tracker on your vehicle, call Blackhorse Investigations or another private investigator. If you have found a GPS unit on your vehicle, it is best to not touch it and call the police so they can retrieve it for fingerprints and to find out who owns it.
